In-Demand Workforce Skills

Advanced Manufacturing has been identified in our Northeast Labor Market Blueprint as a priority industry in our region, indicating that the industry provides high quality career paths that include ample employment opportunities at self-sufficiency wages. This industry employs a high a concentration of machining technology professionals and is expected to have continued demand for those with CNC Milling & Lathe machining operation skills. The Advanced Manufacturing department has been preparing to host training with the addition of four new machines: a HAAS CNC Mill, 2 Lathes and a TRAK Knee Mill with 3D capability.
